
Mr. Mai specializes in drafting and prosecuting patent applications on complex computer and electronics technologies with a focus on networking and security. His previous experience and technical training from both academia and industry as a researcher and software developer enable him to assist clients in effectively protecting their intellectual property rights.

Technology expertise
Mr. Mai has prepared and prosecuted numerous patent applications relating to networking, computer software and security. Before joining Park, Vaughan,Fleming & Dowler LLP, Mr. Mai conducted advanced research focusing on Internet security and network data mining while completing his Ph.D. studies at the UC Davis. He has worked more than five years for start-ups and established companies, for which he designed and developed networking protocol software for routers.

Mr. Mai is co-inventor on U.S. patent application 12/269,586. He is the author or co-author of a dozen articles published in IEEE and ACM journals, as well as papers presented at IEEE and ACM conferences.
